About Dr. Mesa
Lazaro Mesa, M.D., is a dedicated orthopaedic surgeon specializing in upper extremity care, including shoulder, elbow and hand surgery. Dr. Mesa completed his hand and upper extremity fellowship at the prestigious Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of South Florida/Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa, Florida, where he served as Administrative Chief Resident from 2023 to 2024. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. His strong foundation in biological sciences was cultivated at Florida International University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
