Important to Know

This assessment is an educational tool designed to help you understand your risk factors. It is not a medical diagnosis. Only a qualified orthopaedic specialist or physician can accurately assess your bone health through clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing, such as a DEXA scan. If you are experiencing sudden or severe back pain, a recent fracture, or significant height loss, please consult a healthcare provider promptly.

Bone density screening is generally recommended for postmenopausal women and for individuals over age 50 who have experienced a fragility fracture. Patients with a history of hip fracture, spine fracture, certain breast cancer treatments (such as aromatase inhibitors), or prostate cancer therapies that affect hormone levels may also require evaluation regardless of other risk factors.
