Vero Orthopaedics is pleased to announce the addition of board-certified internal medicine physician Maria Pimenova, M.D., Ph.D., to its medical staff. Dr. Pimenova provides comprehensive primary care services, delivering patient-centered preventive wellness, chronic condition management, and collaborative care to help patients maintain long-term health and independence.

Dr. Pimenova brings extensive clinical experience and advanced research training to the Treasure Coast community. She earned her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University in Moscow, Russia. She later earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from the National Research Center for Hematology in Moscow, where she conducted advanced research in cytogenetics and cellular health. Dr. Pimenova completed her internal medicine residency training at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

Before joining Vero Orthopaedics, Dr. Pimenova provided outpatient primary care in Aiken, South Carolina, and cared for patients locally in Vero Beach at Indian River Primary Care. Her dual background in cellular research and clinical medicine informs her educational approach to patient wellness. Dr. Pimenova prioritizes listening to each patient, explaining diagnoses in plain language, and designing care plans tailored to individual health goals. She is fluent in both English and Russian.

“Delivering accessible, comprehensive care is central to our mission at Vero Orthopaedics,” said Jennifer Davis, CEO of Vero Orthopaedics. “We are honored to welcome Dr. Pimenova to our team. Her extensive medical background and patient-first philosophy make her a wonderful fit for our practice and a valuable resource for our community.”

Working in coordination with the orthopaedic, neurologic, and rehabilitation specialists at Vero Orthopaedics, Dr. Pimenova manages routine wellness visits, disease prevention, diagnostic evaluations, and ongoing health coordination.

Dr. Pimenova is now accepting new patients for primary care appointments at the Vero Orthopaedics main campus in Vero Beach.
